• Aara
      Aara

Switzerland’s AARA was founded in 2018 by vocalist Fluss and multi-instrumentalist Berg to create art highly influenced by atmospheric Black Metal. Sporting an epic, classical feel, their sweeping compositions aim to take the listener through the darkest alleys of human existence.

Soon after releasing their debut record "So fallen alle Tempel" in early 2019, AARA joined forces with Debemur Morti Productions, releasing their mosaic EP "Anthropozän" that same year.

Barely a year after their debut, AARA unveiled a new full-length record in April of 2020. A conceptual look into Europe's Age of Enlightenment, "En Ergô Einai" sees AARA take their accomplished sound to new heights of mature artistic expression. Opened with a haunting acoustic intro courtesy of Vindsval (BLUT AUS NORD), "En Ergô Einai" is a triumph of fluid melodic euphoria and classical elegance, setting an even higher watermark in a bright, young discography. The third album and beginning of a trilogy, namely "Triade I: Eos", was released in March 2021. In this epic and dramatic new work of art, AARA are interpreting the Gothic novel "Melmoth The Wanderer" (1820) of Irish writer Charles Robert Maturin.

Venturing forth into the next chapters of Maturin's work, AARA crafted the second part of their trilogy, "Triade II: Hemera". The six tracks of brutally melodic, top-tier Black Metal was released in May 2022. The third and final album of the Melmoth trilogy will see the light of day on March 31st, 2023.

      • Akhlys
        Akhlys

AKHLYS was formed 2009 by Naas Alcameth (NIGHTBRINGER, AORATOS, BESTIA ARCANA) as a musical expression for the inexplicable visions, journeys and phenomena that occur in liminal lands between slumber and awakening. Initially exploring these concepts via Dark Ambient in debut "Supplication" (2009) and then haunting Black Metal through lauded follow-up "The Dreaming I” (2015), Alcameth has once again reified and rarefied this vision, giving rise to a third and crowning work, "Melinoë" which will be released in December 2020.

        • Anarkhon
          Anarkhon

ANARKHON emerged from Brazil in 1999 as a brutal Death Metal band aesthetically influenced by vintage CANNIBAL CORPSE, releasing a number of well-received demos, splits and full-lengths between 2002 and 2013 before taking a six year hiatus. 2020 saw the band return reinvigorated with new album "Phantasmagorical Personification Of The Death Temple", a more obscure, experimental and cerebral record of eerie atmospheric riffs and cavernous vocals heavily influenced by the cosmic horror of H.P Lovecraft. 2023 sees the band releasing their fifth long player. "Obiasot Dwybat Ptnotun" contains eight rotting tracks of eerie violence and blasphemous horror.

          • Archgoat
            Archgoat

ARCHGOAT crawled from the deepest pits of hell to form in 1989, a demonic trio consisting of the brothers Ritual Butcherer and Lord Angelslayer on guitars and vocals/bass respectively, as well as Blood Desecrator on drums. After a pair of demo tapes, ARCHGOAT shook the Black Metal world in 1993 with the release of their debut EP "Angelcunt (Tales of Desecration)", showcasing a relentless and bestial blend of Black and Death Metal. With a growing dissolution with the Black Metal scene at large, and a disagreement with their then record label Necropolis Records over the terms of their debut record, ARCHGOAT vanished from scene in late 1993.

In 2004 the gates reopened anew. ARCHGOAT returned to finally release their long-lost material the following year, and then their first official full-length, "Whore of Bethlehem", in 2006. Since then they have released two more albums, "The Light-Devouring Darkness" in 2009 and "The Apocalyptic Triumphator" in 2015 under Debemur Morti Productions, as well as a series of splits, EPs, and compilations. Between releases they have carved out a reputation for their malevolent live rituals, storming the shores of Europe, the United States, and Mexico alongside bands such as BEHEXEN, BLACK WITCHERY, and HELL MILITIA.

2018 will see ARCHGOAT unleash their latest satanic opus "The Luciferian Crown", their second full length under Debemur Morti. An ungodly black sacrament of a kind that only ARCHGOAT can craft, "The Luciferian Crown" is a testament to what Black Metal should be, bestial, unrelenting, and unholy. Black Metal changed, ARCHGOAT did not, and it is their capable hands that shall carry the black flame forward for years to come.

In 2020, the live album "Black Mass XXX" adequately captured the angelslaying chaos present during their gig in Paris in September 2019. The recorded concert was part of ARCHGOAT's 30-year anniversary gig series and a worthy addition to their discography. With "Worship The Eternal Darkness" (out November 2021), the Finnish Black Metal band will cement their well-earned reputation for being one of the most consistent bands the scene has ever seen. ARCHGOAT's fifth album is, once again, a unique synthesis of occult Finnish Black/Death Metal, harsh Punk, primal Thrash and Grindcore.

In April 2022, a companion piece to the latest album and a natural successor to the band's first EP, "Angelcunt", was unleashed. The mini-album "All Christianity Ends" channels the rawness and devastation of the early ARCHGOAT days in four gruesome new compositions.

            • Arkona
              Arkona

Not to be confused with the Russian folk-metal act of the same name, Poland’s ARKONA has been producing crushing, pagan black metal hymns since their inception in 1993. Devoid of excess frills and gimmicks that often plague the genre, ARKONA present a straight forward yet compelling sound, galloping tremolo harmonies, relentless snare blasts and vitriolic snarls flow into brooding orchestral synths and crescendos of melancholic and melodic splendor.

2015 saw the band pair with Debemur Morti Productions and release “Lunaris” the following year, their most complete and polished work to date.

              • Aversio Humanitatis
                Aversio Humanitatis

Since their conception in Madrid in 2010, AVERSIO HUMANITATIS have meticulously crafted their sound to build a colossal barrier of crushing rawness that explores the different ramifications of human existence and the irony of its destructive pursuit of perfection.

After the 2011 unveiling of their debut record “Abandonment Ritual”, AVERSIO HUMANITATIS took part in the split “Three Ways Of Consciousness” in 2013 alongside SELBST and NIHIL, as well as a split with PRIMIGENIUM in 2015, exploring harsh new levels of sonic depth with each release. 2017 saw the band unleash their landmark EP “Longing For The Untold”, further evolving and pushing the boundaries of their sound with savage dissonance and the inclusion of sepulchral Death Metal stylings while fluidly summating all that came before.

Coinciding with their tenth anniversary in 2020, AVERSIO HUMANITATIS delivered their second full-length album "Behold The Silent Dwellers". Taking the sound of its antecessor EP to a more distressing and intricate sensory cosmos, “Behold the Silent Dwellers” serves as a walk through the ghostly remnants of abandoned cityscapes through a medium of unrelenting dissonant Black Metal. Breaking barriers and ascending higher with every subsequent release, AVERSIO HUMANITATIS is the audial manifestation of the war of man against himself.

                • Bacchus
                  Bacchus

BACCHUS is a project formed by Moïse Mestriaux and Sébastien B. (DYSYLUMN, ABYSSAL VACUUM, OMINOUS SHRINE) with the objective of experimenting with songwriting using electric guitars and bass over a synthesizer base in early 2020. Camille Olivier F.B. (DYSYLUMN, Y I Y) quickly joined the project behind the drums and was then put in charge of sound engineering and production.

Initially inspired by bands like RHINOCERVS, RINGARË, FLUISTERAARS, URFAUST or BLUT AUS NORD, BACCHUS officiates in an atmospheric Black Metal with dark, cavernous and monolithic parts sparingly integrated. It's a deep, melancholic and dreamlike journey that explores the decadence of Roman mythology.

A first self-titled EP was released at the end of 2020. The debut album will be released via Debemur Morti Productions in 2023.

                  • Behexen
                    Behexen

BEHEXEN was born under a black banner in 1994 when Torog (vocals), Horns (drums) and Reaper (guitars) joined forces. Black Metal has been the keyword since inception.

The first demo "Reality Is In Evil..." briefly saw the moonlight in ’95; the second demo "Eternal Realm" surfaced in ’97; and the third demo "Blessed Be The Darkness" followed in ‘98. At this point, Reaper left the band and BEHEXEN recruited Gargantum on guitar and Lunatic on bass in order to perform live rituals. "Blessed Be The Darkness" brought forth an ill-fated deal from Sinister Figure and the debut album "Rituale Satanum" was recorded in the summer of 1999. Due to countless problems, the band drifted away from this rip-off label and waited three years for that deal to expire. During this period, Veilroth joined as second guitarist.

In May 2003, BEHEXEN signed with Finnish label Woodcut Records and recorded their second full-length album "By The Blessing Of Satan" which was unleashed the following year.

In 2008, fresh from the Tour Of The Blackmoon with ARCHGOAT and HELL MILITIA, the band unleashed its third album, “My Soul For His Glory” on Hammer Of Hate.

BEHEXEN has now inked a deal in blood with Debemur Morti Productions to deliver the fourth full-length, the two parties having conspired previously on a reissue of the BEHEXEN / HORNA split.

BEHEXEN, with original members Torog and Horns, is and always will be Black Metal in its blackest and rawest form.

                    • Blut Aus Nord
                      Blut Aus Nord

                      Theoricians of Insane Aestheticism

                      The faceless Entity.

Originating in 1994 from the ashes of VLAD (who released two demos), BLUT AUS NORD are undisputable French Black Metal pioneers, always managing to progress and move forward, evolving in perpetual mutation, developing their own vision of Black Metal.

Choosing, from the start, the total opposite path of regressive bands (who copy what others have done ten years earlier and ten times better), BLUT AUS NORD eschews all the inherent clichés belonging to the genre. BLUT AUS NORD's Black Metal approach is a fist in the face of mainstream mediocrity, becoming more macabre and sinister through a blend of innovative musical research, subliminal mental manipulation, and an incredible haunted, nightmarish feeling based on disharmony.

                      BLUT AUS NORD
are creators of a hallucinogenic universe, erasing all preconceived ideas of Black Metal - and extreme music in general. They redefine the rules...

                      • Cailleach Calling
                        Cailleach Calling

CAILLEACH CALLING was inceptionalized in the Spring 2021 by long term music partners Tony Thomas (DAWN OF OUROBOROS, BOTANIST) and Chelsea Murphy (DAWN OF OUROBOROS). They had a desire to create a project that was both rooted into the more traditional style of atmospheric Black Metal, while incorporating the more modern and progressive sensibilities they are known for in their other projects. With Tony handling guitars/synths/bass, and Chelsea on vocals, they then enlisted Yurii Kononov (ex-WHITE WARD) on drums to complete the line-up. With a solid line-up they completed their debut "Dreams of Fragmentation" by late summer of the same year. The album features furious atmospheric Black Metal, with both traditional and post-black sounds mixed with melodic, ethereal, and highly emotional touches to create something that is dynamic, intense and dripping with passion.

                        • Dødsengel
                          Dødsengel

Translating to “angel of death,” Norway’s DØDSENGEL has possessed a style of their own since day one. Refusing to conform to genre trends or conventions, they follow their own path. Dissonant, atonal chords and churning black metal riffs craft an undercurrent to a one of a kind vocal performance. Ghastly shrieks, bestial growls, desperate wails, and majestic opera chants sing the song of a devilish carnival, twisting and turning beyond definition. What cannot be defined cannot be contained, and the pairing of DØDSENGEL and Debemur Morti Productions assures nothing but a future of even further demented opuses to be brought to bear.

Five years after the first collaborative fruit, "Interequinox" (2017), was given birth, DØDSENGEL channel their energies into eleven Thelemic hymns. "Bab Al On" will be released on December 16th, 2022.

                          • Eitrin
                            Eitrin

To commemorate Debemur Morti Productions' two-decade milestone, three exceptional French artists have assembled to create a malevolent entity known as EITRINVindsval (BLUT AUS NORD), Dehn Sora (THROANE) and Marion (MÜTTERLEIN) have merged their talents to conjure fascinating and enigmatic art on the outskirts of Black Metal, Industrial, post-Punk, vicious Hardcore and Dark Ambient.

The project's self-titled first offering will be released on December 1st. EITRIN's future remains shrouded in uncertainty, but holds the promise of further artistic endeavours.

                            • Ershetu
                              Ershetu

ERSHETU was formed in 2021 by conceptualist/lyricist Void and composer Sacr to create cinematic music which merges various hues of epic, obscure and atmospheric Metal with the poignant dramaticism of film scores.

With all guitars/bass/drums played by Vindsval (BLUT AUS NORD, FORHIST) and all vocals provided by Lars Nedland (BORKNAGAR, SOLEFALD), ERSHETU offers the listener an intricate, evocative and emotive musical journey free from fixed stylistic boundaries.

Each forthcoming album from the project will explore the conceptions of Death within a particular civilization or religion. The debut album, which focuses upon the Mayan civilization, will be released in 2023.

                              • Godkiller
                                Godkiller

GODKILLER was founded by Duke Satanaël in 1994. The first demo, "Ad Majorem Satanae Gloriam", was released in December of the same year. It featured a mixture of Death and Black metal with already an evocation of the medieval era, as it is audible in the intro. The second demo, "The Warlord", was released in February 1995, and showed an evolution towards a style that would become GODKILLER's trademark: Black Metal with medieval-inspired sounds.

The demo caught the interest of Italian label Wounded Love Records (a division of Avantgarde Music). The first release from this partnership was "The Rebirth Of The Middle Ages" in 1996.

Always being interested in new musical inspiration and evolution, the next album needed to be different. On "The End Of The World", released in 1998, the tempo slowed down, the riffs became heavier, the atmosphere was less medieval-inspired, but still crepuscular, even more so. The lyrics dealt with personal, introspective subjects from a bleak perspective.

Finally, the last GODKILLER album, "Deliverance", was released in 2000. Once again, this album marked an evolution in style. The main characteristics of "The End Of The World" were kept, but the medieval atmosphere was almost entirely gone, replaced by a more modern, cold and clinical atmosphere. This last album was, in a way, GODKILLER's self-destruction, the point of completion as well as the point of no return.

In 2022, GODKILLER signed a deal with Debemur Morti Productions to reissue the two demos on CD and vinyl.

                                • I.C.E.
                                  I.C.E.

Originating in 2003 after the arctic summoning of the ancient astral Anti-God "Råvaskieth", IMPERIAL CRYSTALLINE ENTOMBMENT was manifested through the hypothermic possession of four unwilling dead souls. Their identities died the minute their hearts were ripped from their chests and cast upon the whirling winds of the "Crystalline Blisserred Shrine".

Driven by the inherent will of timeless hatred to freeze all Worlds and return the Universe and all of its Dimensions to the original bleak, empty void of colourless cold death, "IceSickKill", "Blisserred", "Bleak" and "Mammoth" vowed to stop at nothing until this frozen wasteland was achieved.

The now infamous "Apocalyptic End In White" album was conjured in 2004 and released on its unsuspecting victims with extreme violence as the first wave of cryonic encapsulation. After years of spreading pummelling, hopeless extinction upon the earth with the use of their supreme brand of sonic devastation, I.C.E. was called by the instinctual pull of the "Great Orbital Råvaskeith" to return their bodies to a hibernative state, while their energies were displaced onto other distant planets and within four alternate entities, who have been spreading the cold white death further amongst the stars.

20 years have now passed and the repetitive howling shrieks of the "Astral Frost Invocation" from the loyal mortal servants below, have opened the archaic portal and reanimated I.C.E. once more to reign over Earth and begin the second wave of convulsing frigid annihilation.

Awakening within caverns of ice and snow, I.C.E. have returned from the abyss, across the frozen emptiness of space! All shall perish! Your children shall continue to be abducted and skinned under the piercing blizzard winds of the Arctic Aurora, until the vast army of ghastly "Lycanthropic Banshee Hordes" arrive!

                                  • Inferno
                                    Inferno

INFERNO came into existence 1995 in the Czech Republic, with first demo offerings “Peklo Na Zemi” (1996) and “Temná Poselství Dávných Předků” (1997) gaining significant acclaim in the Czech scene and beyond, opening many possibilities within the Black Metal underground.

Following a number of successful split releases, in the first decade of the new millennium INFERNO recorded two full-length albums of defiant and warlike Black Metal - “Duch slovanské síly” (2001) and “V návratu pohanství...” (2003) – the raw and ominous “Nikdy nepokřtěni” (2006) and concluded this period of rabid Black Metal traditionalism withUctívání temné zuřivosti” (2008) which merged old currents into a more refined offering, aggressive yet triumphantly melodic.

The release of pivotal album “Black Devotion“ (2009) reshaped and regenerated the creative forces within the band. INFERNO subsequently entered Necromorbus Studio to create the cacophonic and malevolent “Omniabsence Filled By His Greatness” (2013) another step-up which imbued band-members with the will to transcend their previous self-imposed limitations.

In the following years, INFERNO performed on prominent stages around the world, securing a reputation for being a savage and mystical live act. Dedicated to self-transformation and unconscious dialogue with the great other, the monumental and idiosyncratic “Gnosis Kardias (Of Transcension and Involution)” (2017) helped redefine contemporary Black Metal Art.

In 2021, the band’s most transcendent, most dynamic and finest work to-date "PARADEIGMA (Phosphenes Of Aphotic Eternity)" will be released by Debemur Morti Productions.

INFERNO is: Adramelech (vocals), Ska-Gul (guitars), Morion (guitars), Armagog (bass guitar) and O. O. (drums).

                                    • Kryptan
                                      Kryptan

KRYPTAN is an atmospheric Black Metal band from Avesta, Sweden. Founded in early 2020, right at the beginning of the global pandemic, KRYPTAN took shape to embody the passion for Black Metal that songwriter and guitarist Mattias 'Kryptan' Norrman harboured for decades.

A familiar face in the scene, Mattias, who is most recognized for playing guitar in OCTOBER TIDE and previously bass in KATATONIA, has long striven for his very own musical endeavor.

Heavily inspired by the 90s era of Norwegian and Swedish Black Metal, life, and the crushing darkness of Swedish winters, Mattias created enthralling songs bursting with sinister energy and craftsmanship. KRYPTAN aim to take listeners back in time and celebrate a glorious musical legacy in a contemporary fashion. The band is completed by fellow OCTOBER TIDE member Alexander Högbom on vocals and Samuel Karlstrand of WRETCHED FATE on drums.

Four songs for a first release were already recorded with Mats Andersson at Glashuset Studios over the course of 2020. Finally, mastered by Thomas Plec Johansson at The Panic Room and signed by Debemur Morti Productions the following year, the self-titled EP will be released in 2021.

A full-length album is already in the works and the band is looking forward to taking their raw, majestic Swedish Black Metal to the stage as well.

                                        Light Of The Morning Star

LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR is an unending prayer to the darkness of the world. It is the glow of graves at midnight. It is the voidshadows that shiver and move between crumbling tombs. It is the fangs in the tree of life.

LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR is a ritualistic summoning of gloom, unholy radiance, and the ghosts of darker times.

LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR is vampirism, necromancy, and Devil worship.

                                        • Manes
                                          Manes
MANES was formed in Trondheim, Norway, in 1992. Their music has gone through many stages of transformation and mutation up until today, but the core of the band has remained unchanged for over 16 years. The band has had a mantra of exploration and experimentation in their approach to songwriting, and is hard to define by limiting genres. Overall it can best be described as a bastardization of rock and electronica with influences from jazz, metal and more. Still, the focus lies on what goes in the ear. The music has been called both atmospheric and cinematic, often with climactic builds and layers of detail. It can be both emotional and oppressive, and more often than not; cloaked in a discomforting darkness.
MANES can in many ways be called somewhat of an artistic collective, not adhering to the traditional band-concept, as collaborations have become a staple of their sound. Often resembling a borderless playground for its members, Manes seek to find some glimpse of magic in what they create outside of their more normal band ambitions. The members of MANES has been, or is, a part of bands like Atrox, The Third and The Mortal, Lethe, Drontheim, Chton, Calmcorder and more.
MANES has chosen to first and foremost focus on studio work and the creative aspects of music, and is selective and eclectic regarding live apperances. Nevertheless, up through the years Manes has played a few concerts with bands like Isis, Katatonia, Theater of Tragedy and more, and has played festivals like Brutal Assault, Inferno, Quart, Dark Bombastic Evening, Blastfest and Pstereo. Manes has also played alternative shows like a semi-accoustic show at an art vernissage and a live collaboration with the noise artists B Revolution, and appreciate the possibility to experiment in a concert setting.

                                            Modern Rites

MODERN RITES is an Industrial-rooted, melodic Black Metal duo founded in Autumn 2020 by guitarist Berg of Swiss Atmospheric Black Metal band AARA and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/visual artist Jonny Warren of US Experimental Metal band KUYASHII.

Born out of experimentation and a mutual respect for each other's craft, the pair began trading tracks across borders with the goal of creating a unique sound which would transcend cultural barriers. At the core of MODERN RITES is Jonny's heavily distorted bass sound inspired by dark Industrial music of the '90s. The diverging, stereo bass paths create a desolate landscape in which Berg's guitars are free to open portals into dark atmospheres.

Exploring the bleaker aspects of the human condition, lyrical themes dive into psychology, isolation, conflict, and the ever-evolving shadow self.

Impressed by MODERN RITES’ quality and originality, Debemur Morti Productions will imminently release "Monuments", a debut album which sets a vast, winding aural path for further experimentation to come.

                                            • Mütterlein
                                              Mütterlein

MÜTTERLEIN is the solo project of Marion Leclercq (ex-OVERMARS), composer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist.

Adopted in 2014, this pseudonym is a nod to the nightmarish yet fragile work of NICO, who in many ways deconstructed the unbearable myth of 'femininity' imposed on us.

Musically, MÜTTERLEIN mixes Post-Punk savagery, Doom, Noise, Industrial and Black Metal to create a vast universe of Post-Metal experimentation.

First album, "Orphans Of The Black Sun" – released in 2016 on Sundust Records, a label co-run by Vindsval from BLUT AUS NORD – leaned towards the Post-Punk and Doom registers using minimalist, cold instrumentation to create a record organic and ritualistic as a witch-dance around a fire.

In 2020, MÜTTERLEIN responded to an invitation by the artist LIMBES (ex-BLURR THROWER) to create a mirror piece to his epic 25 minute track entitled "Vérité" (French for Truth) for a split release issued in 2021 by LADLO. The free format allowed MÜTTERLEIN to experiment even further, constructing a slow, desolate dreamscape of doom-laden Dark Ambient.

"Bring Down The Flags", MÜTTERLEIN's second album, will be released in late 2021 by Debemur Morti Productions. Dark, haunting and immediate, the album incorporates more electronic sounds and blackened Industrial atmospheres to serve a more direct subject and voice.

                                                Nightbringer

At the time of their founding, NIGHTBRINGER were conceived as a conduit for contemplations on the mysteries of death as it is understood in the tradition of the magical Arts. Formed in the year 1999 by vocalist and guitarist Naas Alcameth and former member Nox Corvus, the outfit from Colorado, United States chose Scandinavian black metal as the foundation of their artistic expression. NIGHTBRINGER developed along the lines of second generation Black Metal, while continuously expanding their own unique sinister mark on sound. After unleashing several demos and split releases between 2001 and 2006, their debut album "Death And The Black Work" arrived in 2008. Two years later, sophomore opus "Apocalypse Sun" followed. Erupting from the US underground, NIGHTBRINGER found themselves opening for major scene acts such as WATAIN, KRIEG, and PROFANATICA.

Having firmly established their place within the elite circle of US black metal with two further full-lenght albums, NIGHTBRINGER are bound to break through new boundaries with "Terra Damnata".

                                                  Óreiða

ÓREIĐA is an experimental, atmospheric Black Metal band from the northern parts of Iceland. Having grown up with the classics of the 90s, ÓREIĐA's music is both a study of the intricacies of these legendary albums as well as an exploration in how far the typical Black Metal elements can be stretched and pushed in new directions.

Starting with "Demó I" ÓREIĐA unveiled a handful of demos and a split before releasing the self-titled debut in 2019. Praised for its unique sound, Dutch Pearce from Decibel stated: "In a genre mired in tradition and thronged by lifeless clones, ÓREIĐA already stands out as a singular work of art!".

ÓREIĐA will unveil its second album via DMP in 2023.

                                                    Other World

OTHER WORLD is an atmospheric/experimental Black Metal band formed in California in 2012 as a solo project of multi-instrumentalist Christopher A. (SUFFERING IN SOLITUDE, BLACK SALVATION). As his tenure with those projects came to an end, Christopher shifted his focus to OTHER WORLD, spawning five releases over seven years. In 2022, OTHER WORLD was joined by Stephen Parker (PARAPHILIA, MAESTUS, ex-PILLORIAN) on vocals and Jacob Holland on bass, which led to a collaboration on the new track, 'Of Death And Alteration'.

                                                    • Perilaxe Occlusion
                                                      Perilaxe Occlusion

PERILAXE OCCLUSION is a two-piece unrendered entity hailing from the Golden Horseshoe region in Ontario, Canada.

With thick doom, atmospheric dissonance, blistering speed, and technical precision, the band's one goal is to make Death Metal extremely heavy in all variations. Accompanied by a unique look on their artwork, and atypical lyrics about 3D modelling, rendering techniques, and technology, 2-piece bring forth a level of esoteric thinking that's never been seen in extreme music before. Rasterized Death Metal as they call their sound, this high-poly duo is here to craft extreme sounds in the unrendered parts of Death Metal.

                                                      • Pestifer
                                                        Pestifer

PESTIFER is a metal band that has been haunting Belgium since 2004. Composed of four humanoids, the group plays an original music mixing aggressivity, melodies and personality with emphasis on the songs' structure, elaborate riffing and the general atmosphere.

The project was fantasized by young hairy twins, fanatics of the 90's Death Metal scene. With a first EP in 2006, PESTIFER aligns concerts on a local scale. In 2010, the band takes a new dimension releasing its first album, "Age Of Disgrace". Two European tours in support of KATAKLYSM and KRISIUN follow and they sign with Ultimhate Records.

After a new 13-date European tour with NILE, PESTIFER release a new album on Greatdane Records in 2014. "Reaching The Void" confirms the band’s musical direction and brings a new trend with more "sci-fi" themes.

The following years, the band undergoes some line-up changes with the arrival of a new guitar player. In mid-2019, the band records a concept album, marking a new milestone for PESTIFER. The album, the result of several years of writing, is released in March 2020 on Xenokorp Records, a few days before the worldwide lockdown. During that period, PESTIFER sign a publishing contract with Les Editions Hurlantes (GOJIRA, IMMORTAL, MARDUK...).

In 2021, the band releases a video documentary. The film is directed by Giov' and focuses on the band's life during covid. 2022 sees PESTIFER sign a contract with Debemur Morti Productions.

                                                          Pestilength

In early 2018 the anonymous duo PESTILENGTH emerged from the Basque Country with a twisted, contemporary-yet-classic style of extremity which they called 'corrosive Death Metal'.

After a well-received series of demos and singles, in 2020 the band released first full-length, "Eilatik", described by No Clean Singing webzine as: "...absolutely vicious at all times. It rips and tears in a frenzy, and pounds without mercy or remorse."

By the end of 2020, the band had received worldwide attention among labels, blogs, and musicians. Additional EP "Apore Flesh" was enthusiastically praised by LEVIATHAN's Jef Whitehead for reaching "… far beyond the world of copycats of the 'underground'" in "khaotick shards of thought-provoking metalz of dementia". A split with Mexican band REVERENCE TO PAROXYSM had followed soon afterwards the same year.

In August 2021, PESTILENGTH's monstrous sophomore album "Basom Gryphos" was unleashed to widespread critical acclaim. The album contained eight new songs whose cerebral slithering brutality was mirrored in the striking cover art by Namurian Visions.

In 2023 the band inked a deal with Debemur Morti Productions for the release of their upcoming next-level third album.

                                                            Pestilent Hex

PESTILENT HEX – a curse that claimed our souls and plagued our dreams; a sound that still haunts and possesses us...

PESTILENT HEX is a new band hailing from Finland that drinks deep from the well of the second wave Black Metal tradition – balancing a fine line of symphonic elements but still being firmly rooted in Metal, nevertheless retaining high integrity and artistry.

The band consists of two people, perhaps more well-known from the Death and Doom Metal circles, yet Black Metal is something that has flowed in their veins since the mid-nineties and it constitutes a praxis they grew up with.

The idea of this band was born out of the necessity to pay dues to the genre that formed the musicians and their musical sensibilities. But more importantly, from the ambition to craft a vision of their own what this Art should sound like.

"The Ashen Abhorrence" is the band's first release. It took them five years of arduous labor and maddening inspiration to complete it. It is a concept album musically and lyrically, that dwells into Faustian aspirations, witchcraft, possession, and the realm beyond – ending in harrowing results.

                                                              Plebeian Grandstand

Formed in Toulouse, France in 2005, PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND create dissonant and emotional Extreme Metal.

The band's most recent albums "Lowgazers" (2014) and "False Highs, True Lows" (2016) received considerable praise from underground and mainstream media alike, highlighting their crushing and highly innovative style. Rewarded for their uncompromising dedication to crossing musical borders, artist/curator James Kent (PERTUBATOR) invited PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND to perform at Roadburn festival 2020. To date, the band has played over 200 shows and festivals across the USA, Russia, India, UK, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Eastern Europe and France, including Hellfest.

In 2021, PLEBEIAN GRANDSTAND signed a deal with Debemur Morti Productions who will unleash fourth album "Rien ne suffit" in November, in which the band create constant tightrope-walk tension as they blur the edges of avantgarde Black Metal, chaotic Hardcore, blown-out Jazz, corrosive Noise, experimental Electronica and death Industrial into an ultra-contemporary form of 'post-Metal' in the truest application of the term. "Rien ne suffit" is the soundtrack to a world in turmoil.

                                                              • Power From Hell
                                                                Power From Hell

POWER FROM HELL from São Paulo, Brazil were formed 2001 by main-songwriter Sodomic (ANARKHON) as a raw and primitive studio-only vehicle for early-Bathory worship, flourishing for 10 years without live activity and releasing a series of cult underground records: "The True Metal" (2004), "Sadismo" (2007) and "Spellbondage" (2009).

In 2010 the band began to draw worldwide attention when Fenriz from DARKTHRONE revealed himself to be a big fan, regularly wearing a shirt of "The True Metal" and highlighting the band in a succession of interviews and articles. POWER FROM HELL capitalised on the subsequent buzz, growing immeasurably over a well-received sequence of EPs, splits and full-lengths including "Devil's Whorehouse" (2015, Hells Headbangers) and "Profound Evil Presence" (2019, High Roller).

After 20 years, with the band now an established touring entity, the raw Black/Thrash sound of yesteryear gave way to a darker, more complete path within Black Metal, leading to a newly-formed alliance with Debemur Morti Productions. The band's next album will be released on September 30th, 2022 and promises to scour the depths of the abyss to bring forth what is most disgusting, profane and terrifying to human experience.

                                                                • Pure Wrath
                                                                  Pure Wrath

Indonesian PURE WRATH began in mid-2014 as a primitive black metal solo project of multi-instrumentalist Ryo. Starting in 2016, Ryo began to shift the lyrical and thematic content of PURE WRATH to be more in line with his own life and family history. This paradigm shift resulted in the debut record, "Ascetic Eventide", released in 2017 through the Indonesian label Hitam Kelam Records, selling out within four months.

Following the success and positive feedback of the debut, Ryo was contacted by the Mexican label Throats Productions to arrange a vinyl rerelease of "Ascetic Eventide". Not long after, the split release "Endless Journey" between PURE WRATH and French symphonic black metal project ONIRISM was released through Throats Productions at the end of 2017.

In mid-2018, Ryo began writing what would become the second PURE WRATH record, "Sempiternal Wisdom". It was released in October 2018 through Pest Productions in China and Hitam Kelam Records in Indonesia.

As of 2019, Ryo is ready to bring PURE WRATH to a live setting and created a follow up EP to "Sempiternal Wisdom". Proudly released via Debemur Morti Productions in 2020, the EP "The Forlorn Soldier" served as a bridge to the upcoming PURE WRATH full length record, and featured Yurii Kononov (ex-WHITE WARD) as a session drummer. With "Hymn To The Woeful Hearts", PURE WRATH will unleash their third album on February 18th, 2022.

                                                                  • Selbst
                                                                    Selbst

SELBST was formed 2010 in Venezuela by multi-instrumentalist/lyricist N and vocalist Frozen, releasing their initial demo "Veritas Filia Temporis" shortly afterwards. In 2016 N moved to Chile to search out new collaborators and opportunities. The resultant self-titled full-length, featuring vocals by N. Onfray of ANIMUS MORTIS, was released in 2017 to great underground acclaim.

In 2018 N became SELBST's lead vocalist and the project turned into a fully-fledged live band, taking to the stage for the first time as the next step of their evolution. The band unleashed second album, "Relatos de Angustia", in 2020 – a universally praised, deep and challenging record which rewarded repeat listens.

SELBST subsequently honed their artistry and the band's evolution into a formidable live act was marked by the 2023 digital release of live album, "Vortex Of Anguish And Death".

As SELBST reaches its 14th year, visionary N is now poised to reveal the band's third and most compelling album yet. Titled "Despondency Chord Progressions," this landmark release will emerge on April 19th through Debemur Morti Productions and further refines the intricate, shadowy depths of their already sophisticated sound.

                                                                    • Slidhr
                                                                      Slidhr

"The entity of SLIDHR is that of pure hopelessness and desolation. Scion of the Black Stream, flowing into hollow vessels and the miasma to all creatures of the earth. SLIDHR is the illumination of the hidden serpent, removed of its black shroud, draining the vitality of very existence itself.

An understanding of SLIDHR is an understanding of the overwhelming essence of death.

SLIDHR is the exultation to a dead realm, itself a spark in a realm of nothingness, so far removed from recurring banality. It is creeping death enveloping the empty body of man, a great plague decimating mortal unity."

Formed in 2005 and hailing from Dublin, Ireland, SLIDHR is an immersive maelstrom of venomously misanthropic Black Metal. The band’s name derives from the Sliðr, a river flowing through Hel, the land of the dead in Norse mythology – a moniker which befits their dark enigmatic power.

Founded as a solo project by artist, tattooist and bassist/guitarist/vocalist Joseph Deegan, since 2013 the band has featured Icelandic drummer Bjarni Einarsson (SINMARA, ALMYRKVI) and more recently bassist Stefan Dietz.

Following the 2006 cassette release of "Demo 1" (Debemur Morti Productions), the band has unleashed two full-length albums – "Deluge" (2013, DMP) and "The Futile Fires Of Man" (2018, Ván Records) – in addition to two EPs and two split releases. The abyssal atmosphere of these records in combination with furiously intense select live performances at festivals such as Inferno, Prague Death Mass, Caledonian Darkness and Ascension has established SLIDHR as a force to be reckoned with.

A highly-anticipated third long player entitled "White Hart!" will be released via DMP at the end of 2023.

                                                                      • Sühnopfer
                                                                        Sühnopfer

Created into the deep lands of the Bourbons in 2000, SÜHNOPFER is the Black Metal project of multi-instrumentalist and sole member Ardraos (also drummer for CHRISTICIDE, AORLHAC).

SÜHNOPFER has since built up a discography of three demos, an EP ("L’Aube des Trépassés", 2007) and 3 full-length albums: "Nos Sombres Chapelles" (2010), and the resounding "Offertoire", released at the end of 2014, as well as "Hic Regnant Borbonii Manes" (2019).

SÜHNOPFER delivers a violent medieval and melodic atmosphere, with themes dealing with a medieval, knightly, obscurantist and religious dimension, by adding typical aspects of his powerful and glorious homeland.

                                                                        • Taubrą
                                                                          Taubrą

TAUBRĄ was founded in 2022 in Switzerland by guitarist and songwriter B. (AARA) with the intention of following a darker, mystical path, combining traditional Black Metal of the Norwegian school with melodic influences, and carrying on a type that has become rare today. The old spirits have been reawakened with the help of members from Switzerland and Norway, vocalist R., bassist T., and drummer J. Join them in spilling blood and ashes to keep that fucking flame alive!

                                                                          • Thanatonaut
                                                                            Thanatonaut

ABANDON YOUR PRIMATE CONCERNS AND BEGIN TO THINK SPACE AGE

This is not an aesthetic conversion of depression to music. This is science and the destination of mankind in the hundreds of years to come.

THANATONAUT  is a space Black Metal project founded in 2015 by Eija Risen, that shifts the focus of the genre from the vile and the gruesome to the realistic perception of the universe, the true scale of things, our place within it, and the potential fate of mankind. It serves as a reminder that we are woefully limited as species and must act if we want to survive.

It all started with the realization that commonly available models of the Solar System and Outer Space are bound to be highly misleading and inaccurate. Most of the space is just space, occasionally specked with tiny clusters of energy and matter. Despite the beautiful and colorful images often associated with space, the reality is far more empty, cold, and hostile. Further exploration of this concept has erased the naivety we share when it comes to futuristic visions and led to the bleakest vision imaginable - because it is TRUE and universal to all.

The project's name is Greek for "death sailor". This theme is carried throughout the music, as THANATONAUT delves into the idea of the inevitable demise of everything, be it mankind, celestial bodies or the Universe itself. The music portrays an immense and ruthless power that acts upon the conscious actor. The project promises to push the frontiers of the genre by any means suitable.

                                                                            • The Amenta
                                                                              The Amenta

THE AMENTA is ugly, dissonant, electronically-lacerated Extreme Metal from Australia, featuring the core creative line-up of Cain Cressall (Vocals), Erik Miehs (Guitars) and Timothy Pope (Keyboards, Samples & Effects) with Dan Quinlan (Bass) and drummer David Haley (PSYCROPTIC, ex-ABORTED) rounding out the lineup.

Early experiments with dissonance resulted in 2002’s “Mictlan” MCD. Two years later, the band had signed to Listenable Records who released the debut full length, “Occasus”. Next came 2008’s divisive “n0n” album. “n0n” was a dense, ugly, sprawling hymn to urban decay. A filthy paean to political manipulation. It was anti-everything.

Upon returning to Australia after extensive European and American touring THE AMENTA, recorded a free download of a huge multimedia release in 2011 entitled “V01D”. The release featured the new title track, re-recordings of tracks from the two previous albums, as well as professionally filmed and recorded live performances and film clips. The new song showcased one of many new directions THE AMENTA could take. Epic chords held in stasis by drones. Melody where before there had only been dissonance.

In 2013, THE AMENTA released “Flesh Is Heir”. The most organic and open of THE AMENTA’s releases to date, “Flesh is Heir” built huge sculptures of sound from decayed choir loops and found percussion, the strongest riffs and guitar hooks in THE AMENTA back catalogue and an immaculate vocal performance.

After taking a hiatus from live performance in 2014, the band resumed activity in 2019. Inchoate rumblings slowly took shape. In 2020, THE AMENTA is excited to announce a partnership with Debemur Morti Productions, a label whose name is synonymous with art and with the most forward thinking bands in extreme music.

                                                                                The Lovecraft Sextet

THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET is one of the many projects from multi-instrumentalist Jason Köhnen. Renowned for his previous projects BONG-RA or THE KILIMANJARO DARKJAZZ ENSEMBLE and THE MOUNT FUJI DOOMJAZZ CORPORATION.

Köhnen coined the term "Darkjazz" back in 1999 when he composed a track entitled 'Darkjazz' for his 2001 "Darkbreaks" EP. From that point embarking on a long musical journey into dark experimentations with the jazz sound palette in combination with a plethora of genres.

THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET was evoked after a void appeared with the ending of his other Darkjazz outlets, firstly TKDE and TMFDJC and then the short lived THE THING WITH FIVE EYES project which saw Köhnen's first flirtations with Arabic scales and instruments, progressively transforming into his MANSUR project together with ex-PHURPA member Dmitry El Demerdashi and avantgarde metal THY CATAFALQUE vocalist Martina Hórvath.

Köhnen's approach to his releases with THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET are to open the spectrum of Darkjazz in all its wonderful and mysterious facets. Seeing each release as a script and soundtrack to a different movie, setting a different pace and atmosphere and playing with unorthodox climaxes and atmospheres. The projects hosts a list of dedicated guest musicians, who all participate as the leading actors in these scripts, all playing a crucial role in the soundtracks of these non-existing movies.

THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET releases albums on Denovali Records and Debemur Morti Productions, in a way where the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde part of this project comes to its best and most creative fruition.

Apart from the conceptual audio releases, THE LOVECRAFT SEXTET also navigates through the multi-disciplinary arts. The "In Memoriam" release saw a first in a series of short stories and audiobooks combined with an album. Future releases will see more art disciplines combined as a release.

                                                                                • Throane

Born in the manner of an exorcism, THROANE raised in a short amount of time. Raised because nothing else was possible.

An automatic writing driven by Dehn Sora, graphic designer (ULVER, BLUT AUS NORD, CHURCH OF RA...) and musician behind TREHA SEKTORI, SEMBLER DEAH & OVTRENOIR.

                                                                                  • Ulcerate

Auckland, New Zealand-based unorthodox Death Metal act ULCERATE was formed by guitarist Michael Hoggard & drummer Jamie Saint Merat in 2000, with the aim of creating, dark oppressive Death Metal. This focus has since developed & metamorphosed into a far more dynamic approach with a fully realised sense of atmosphere & mood, while furthering their foray into the darker end of the genre’s spectrum.

                                                                                      Waidelotte

WAIDELOTTE is a new Extreme Metal act from Ukraine which skilfully combines Black Metal, melodic Death Metal and Progressive Metal with traditional Folk singing and instrumentation. The project gathers individuals with diverse musical backgrounds, including members of SOEN, WHITE WARD, NAONI ORCHESTRA, Тінь Сонця, SOLAR KOLLAPSE, and CASA URAINA amongst others.

The band's debut album will be released via Debemur Morti Productions in 2024.

                                                                                      • White Ward
                                                                                        White Ward

WHITE WARD, from Odessa, Ukraine performs intensely deviant music of a noir shade.

Formed in 2012 and taking root in raw depressive Black Metal, the band rapidly shed all boundaries, taking inspiration from an array of dark atmospheres including the writings of H.P. Lovecraft and I.M. Banks. The band's excellent early recordings were compiled into the "Origins" compilation released in 2016.

First full-length "Futility Report" was released in 2017 by Debemur Morti Productions to instant critical acclaim. Exploring themes of borderline death states, aberrant afterlife worlds, and strange mental disorders, the WHITE WARD sound had evolved into a unique mix of Post-Black Metal, deeply emotive soundscapes and expansive dark-Jazz atmospheres utilising perfectly fitting saxophone motifs.

WHITE WARD continued to evolve in distinctive directions with 2019’s much-admired "Love Exchange Failure": the dark-Jazz aesthetics more vibrant and deeper than before, the elements of blackened Death, Progressive and Black Metal - propelled by new drummer Noctum - now more furiously intense and complex. Lyrically the record explored more universal, less-abstract dimensions, diving into the abyss of the human psyche atop the band’s most lush and professional sound to date.

In 2021, WHITE WARD composed and recorded two new songs to celebrate the 200th release of their label Debemur Morti Productions. A continuation of the band's progressive Black Metal experimentalism, the new EP "Debemur Morti" features Lars Nedland (BORKNAGAR, SOLEFALD) on additional vocals.

Just one year later, in June 2022, the Ukrainian Black Metal innovators are prepared to unleash their third album, "False Light", incorporating and intertwining various influences into a potent and dystopian mix. "False Light" is an indispensable record from a stunning band at the top of their game, skillfully giving form to urban angst and the writings of Mykhailo Kotsubinsky, a famous Ukrainian writer of the early 20th century.
